All about “P”

Well today is all about Pee or Pea or “P”.

Ok Graham, this is your inner voice talking. You are on your own for this. I am out. I do not want to have a chat about Pee or Peas and what the hell is “P”. You have lost me and I am sitting on the side lines for this blog.

Feeling Alone

Well I will do this blog alone it seems, without my usual inner voice to help.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, Now it looks like they’re here to stay – wait a minute…. it is not time for a song by The Beatles.

I pondered (ok the Mad Scientist proclaimed) I perform a physical phenomenon. A pedestrian parade with the pooch at a pristine point on our planet. Perception perceived by “people” that I perhaps was not that positive. To imProve my perception of people and ponder our prosperous place we are positioned, physicality was prescribed.

Inner voice here – Ohh ok, I will come back in to the blog, I get it, it is about the letter P not the other stuff. Let me help you as that was pathetic. You need help!!

Podcast worth a listen

Whilst walking (umm inner voice here again – that was W not P!!), I put on a podcast called “The Penis Project”* which talks all about mens Health issues. During November they are discussing everything “P”.

The Penis Projects persons latest interview was with “Parry” about PTSD.
(Lets stop with the P’s now).

I felt it was an interesting chat to listen to. It covered what PTSD is and the first hand experiences of Parry not knowing he had PTSD all the way through to managing it years later.

A key takeaway for me, was that exercise (the very thing I was doing while listening to the podcast), can help so much with our mental health and general positive outlook.

So as well as making sure I get my steps for Movember, I am also making myself a bit happier and more pleasant for the Mad Scientist and Cheeky Monkeys.

A quick plug

While on Mo-vember, I have now shaved my stubble to a Mo and have a few steps under my belt. The positive beach walk helped out. So take a look. Keep me honest, by hassling me if you see my steps drop off, or a photo of the mo has not been posted.

Key Point – at the end as always

Back to my key message for the day :

If you are feeling pfft – the push on and do something physical – like take a walk (or parade with the partner, pooch, parrot, pig or even a pedometer!!). This is not just a “Mens Health” thing, this works for everyone.

Just get moving to try to better those blues to another colour. (I have nothing against smurfs but blue is the universal colour for depression, so sorry Smurfs.)

*I should disclose that I do know one of the Penis Project Podcast presenters as she is one of my physiotherapists I have seen. More perhaps on that another time.
